PROPERTY MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN

Description of the Role

The role of Property Technician is an ideal role for somebody who has a good range of construction skills.

This is an interesting and varied role, working in both property maintenance and property development, across a range of projects, and for a range of clients:

The successful candidate will be expected to contribute in whichever areas of the business are required by clients. These include:

• Day-to-day property maintenance – for Housing Associations and Commercial clients
• Domestic home improvements – kitchens, bathrooms, conservatories, extensions and conversions
• Commercial refurbishments – offices, factories, pubs, clubs and restaurants
• Shop-fitting

The Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

• Experience of several, if not most, of the following disciplines
• Painting & decorating
• Plastering
• Joinery / kitchen fitting
• Blockwork / bricklaying
• Roofing
• Plumbing
• Driving licence
• Good attitude towards customers and a pleasant manner
• Calm, positive attitude towards solving problems
• Reliability and a good work ethos

Training & Development

The company is committed to the training and development of all personnel, and is working towards Investors in People accreditation.

Hours and Working Conditions

The role is a full-time-time position, working between 08:30 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Remuneration

The successful candidate will be paid at the rate of £10.00 per hour, with overtime payable after 44 hours in a given week.

Weekend work, where undertaken, will be payable at £18:00 per hour..
